Well, the good news is, you can<\/em> make a difference, and that’s where the Dirt Is Good Academy<\/em> comes in!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Full of amazing videos, fantastic facts, brain-boggling puzzles and hands-on, real-life challenges, the Dirt Is Good Academy <\/em>is a training platform for kids who want to change the world for the better, a.k.a. Changemakers!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n You’ll learn about topics like global warming, green energy, water scarcity and plastic pollution, and you’ll discover your very own Changemaker personality<\/strong> and matching avatar<\/strong> \u2013 who’ll accompany you on your Changemaker mission!<\/p>\n\n\n\n By joining the Dirt Is Good Academy<\/em>, you’ll be joining forces with other kids <\/strong>around the world to make the world a better place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n You’ll start your journey at the Dirt Is Good Academy<\/em> by being matched with your very own Changemaker personality<\/strong>! The adventure begins with a short game<\/strong>, where you’ll have to choose how you would react<\/strong> in different situations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n From your answers, we’ll work out what kind of Changemaker <\/strong>you are. It could be anything from a Wordy Warrior<\/strong>, to an Action Hero<\/strong>! <\/p>\n\n\n\n No personality type is better than another \u2013 it’s just a way of describing how YOU might like to make change happen! <\/p>\n\n\n\n Once you’ve found out your Changemaker personality, you’ll be able to create your own avatar<\/strong>, who will be with you the whole way through your Dirt Is Good Academy<\/em> journey! <\/p>\n\n\n\n There are loads of cool customisation options<\/strong>, so you can get creative!<\/p>\n\n\n\n You’ll get to go on some amazing adventures, which we call ‘Missions<\/strong>‘. These will take you on an online journey around the globe<\/strong>, discovering the issues the planet faces today and learning about how you can help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In the Climate Mission<\/strong>, you’ll learn all about clean energy<\/strong> and how it can help us solve the Climate Crisis, you’ll delve into Earth’s atmosphere to understand global warming<\/strong>, and then discover how sustainability<\/strong> can help us live more harmoniously with our planet’s resources!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Next up, the Water Mission<\/strong>! Dive deep into the oceans and learn how overfishing<\/strong> and pollution<\/strong> are affecting our precious marine habitats. Then turn your attention to water scarcity<\/strong> \u2013 how the Earth’s limited freshwater supply is under pressure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In each Mission, you’ll move through a series of incredible videos<\/strong>, amazing facts<\/strong> and fun puzzles<\/strong>, and at the end, you’ll earn a badge<\/strong>. Each Mission is full of learning and adventure<\/strong>! <\/p>\n\n\n\n As you move through each Mission, your progress is recorded<\/strong> on your very own Mission<\/strong> Dashboard<\/strong>, so you can see the impact<\/strong> your journey is having! As you move through Topics and Missions, you’ll earn Skills Badges<\/strong>, which display proudly on your Dashboard next time you visit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Plus, you can see the achievements of other Changemakers<\/strong>, too! Each time you complete something new in the Academy, it’ll populate in the Dashboard’s live ‘Good Deed Feed<\/strong>‘.
