1. Be a habitat hero!<\/h2>\n\n\n

All over the world, wild places are in trouble<\/strong>. As the human population has increased<\/strong>, we’ve taken over more and more land for our homes, farms, factories<\/strong> and roads<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the rainforest<\/a><\/strong>, around 80,000 acres of trees <\/strong>are cut down every day to make way for farming<\/strong>, or to provide wood <\/strong>for industry. In other countries, habitats like grasslands, underwater habitats, <\/strong>and wetlands <\/strong>are also at risk \u2013 and so are the animals and plants <\/strong>that live there. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Luckily, lots of people are working hard to protect <\/strong>these precious places, and you can be one of them!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
