Check out our top ten rabbit facts!<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Rabbit facts<\/h2>\n<p><strong>1)<\/strong> A baby rabbit is called a <strong>kit<\/strong>, a female is called a <strong>doe<\/strong> and a male is called a <strong>buck<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2)<\/strong> Rabbits are very <strong>social creatures<\/strong> that live in groups. They live in <strong>warrens\u00a0<\/strong>\u2014 a series of tunnels and rooms that they dig underground.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cdn.creatureandcoagency.com\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Atlas-Key.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-115506\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.creatureandcoagency.com\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Atlas-Key.jpg\" alt=\"The Lost Soul Atlas Competition\" width=\"100\" height=\"78\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>3)<\/strong> A rabbit\u2019s <strong>teeth never stop growing<\/strong>! Instead, they\u2019re gradually worn down as the rabbit chews on grasses, wildflowers and vegetables \u2014 meaning they never get too long.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4)<\/strong> Rabbits perform an athletic leap, known as a &#8216;<strong>binky<\/strong>&#8216;, when they&#8217;re happy \u2014 performing twists and kicks in mid air!<\/p>\n<p><strong>5)<\/strong> Rabbits\u2019 <strong>eyes are on the sides of their head<\/strong>, meaning they can see almost all the way around them. Their long ears! Growing up to <strong>10 centimetres<\/strong> in length, rabbits can turn their ears by <strong>180 degrees<\/strong>, keeping a careful listen out for predators.<\/p>\n<p><strong>9)<\/strong> One of the world&#8217;s best-known rabbits is the Warner Bros cartoon character, <strong>Bugs Bunny<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 who&#8217;s often seen munching on a carrot! In fact, carrots aren&#8217;t a natural part of a rabbit&#8217;s diet and can give bunnies an upset stomach if they eat too many.<\/p>\n<p><strong>10)<\/strong> Rabbits are very effective baby-makers! Mother rabbits are pregnant for between\u00a0<strong>28-31 days<\/strong>, giving birth to up to <strong>14 baby rabbits<\/strong> &#8211; <strong>called kittens<\/strong> &#8211; in a single litter.
