What inspired you to become a wildlife filmmaker?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">I always loved <strong>nature documentaries<\/strong>, and after <strong>studying Zoology<\/strong> at university I thought seriously about <strong>wildlife filmmaking<\/strong>. I got a <strong>cheap camera<\/strong> and started filming <strong>wildlife in my garden<\/strong>, writing to every production company I could for experience. They\u2019re such impressive animals. I remember filming a <strong>lioness in Zambia<\/strong> who was an <strong>excellent hunter<\/strong>. Whenever she came past our vehicle she\u2018d give the most <strong>intense stare <\/strong>that <strong>reminded me of my place in the food chain<\/strong>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>What\u2019s your favourite fact about a dangerous animal?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/cdn.creatureandcoagency.com\/uploads\/2026\/01\/AdobeStock_1353643798.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"4608\" height=\"3456\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.creatureandcoagency.com\/uploads\/2026\/01\/AdobeStock_1353643798.jpg\" alt=\"Komodo dragon in the wilderness\" class=\"wp-image-325350\" style=\"width:655px;height:auto\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Hmm\u2026 while writing this book I learned that <strong>Komodo dragons\u2019 sharp teeth<\/strong> are coated in<strong> iron<\/strong>. Imagine that \u2013 <strong>metal knives for teeth<\/strong>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Yikes! What\u2019s your top tip for staying safe in the wild?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Give animals enough space<\/strong> so they can <strong>act naturally<\/strong> and not be <strong>frightened<\/strong>. Plus, <strong>give yourself enough space<\/strong> so you can get to safety if needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>If you could be any dangerous animal, what would it be and why?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/cdn.creatureandcoagency.com\/uploads\/2026\/01\/AdobeStock_554669022.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"4363\" height=\"2909\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.creatureandcoagency.com\/uploads\/2026\/01\/AdobeStock_554669022.jpg\" alt=\"Orca in the ocean\" class=\"wp-image-325351\" style=\"aspect-ratio:1.4998326079678608;width:654px;height:auto\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">I\u2019d probably be an <strong>orca<\/strong>. They\u2019re so<strong> big<\/strong>, so <strong>intelligent<\/strong> and work together so well that they <strong>don\u2019t have any natural predators<\/strong>! It was a <strong>\u2018bluff\u2019 charge<\/strong>, letting me know who\u2019s <strong>boss<\/strong>.
