He was wandering the streets in the cold, and had developed frostbite in one of his paws.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thankfully, an animal rescue centre, called <em>Mac&#8217;s Mission,<\/em> found the stray pup and took him in. A checkover at the vets has revealed that Narwhal is healthy and happy, and the rescue centre say that his frostbite is already on the mend!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"635\" height=\"700\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.creatureandcoagency.com\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Narwhal-the-unicorn-rescue-puppy-3.jpg\" alt=\"Narwhal the unicorn rescue puppy\" class=\"wp-image-34242\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cdn.creatureandcoagency.com\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Narwhal-the-unicorn-rescue-puppy-3.jpg 635w, https:\/\/cdn.creatureandcoagency.com\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Narwhal-the-unicorn-rescue-puppy-3-272x300.jpg 272w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 635px) 100vw, 635px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>So what about that extra tail? Well, an X-ray at the vets revealed that, as far as they can tell, it has &#8220;no real use&#8221;. Rochelle Steffen, who works at <em>Mac&#8217;s Mission<\/em>, said the tail &#8220;doesn&#8217;t cause him any pain and there&#8217;s no medical reason to remove it \u2013 so the forehead tail is here to stay.&#8221; She added, &#8220;So far, the tail on his forehead does not wag!&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"635\" height=\"404\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.creatureandcoagency.com\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Narwhal-the-unicorn-rescue-puppy-2.jpg\" alt=\"Narwhal the unicorn rescue puppy\" class=\"wp-image-34241\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cdn.creatureandcoagency.com\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Narwhal-the-unicorn-rescue-puppy-2.jpg 635w, https:\/\/cdn.creatureandcoagency.com\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Narwhal-the-unicorn-rescue-puppy-2-300x191.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 635px) 100vw, 635px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Narwhal will be staying at the rescue centre &#8211; who are experts in caring for animals with special needs &#8211; until he is a bit older and stronger, at which point they will look to find him a loving home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"635\" height=\"404\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.creatureandcoagency.com\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Narwhal-the-unicorn-rescue-puppy-4.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-34257\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cdn.creatureandcoagency.com\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Narwhal-the-unicorn-rescue-puppy-4.jpg 635w, https:\/\/cdn.creatureandcoagency.com\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Narwhal-the-unicorn-rescue-puppy-4-300x191.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 635px) 100vw, 635px\" \/><figcaption>Narwhals live in the Arctic waters around Canada, Greenland, Norway and Russia. Their tusks &#8211; most commonly found on males &#8211; can grow up to 3 metres long!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p> Narwhal \u2013 we think you&#8217;re awesome.
