A small population lives in northeastern <strong>Iran<\/strong>, although only a few dozen remain here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2)<\/strong> These big cats&#8217; bodies grow to between <strong>1.1m <\/strong>and<strong> 1.4m <\/strong>metres long, plus a tail measuring<strong> 65cm <\/strong>to<strong> 80cm<\/strong>. Their weight ranges from <strong>34kg <\/strong>to<strong> 54kg<\/strong>, males being slightly heavier.<\/p>\n\n\n<p><!-- \/wp:post-content --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:separator --><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>3)<\/strong> Cheetahs have a pale yellow coat with black dots on the upper parts, and are white on the underbelly. Their faces are distinguished by prominent, black lines that curve from the inner corner of each eye to the outer corners of the mouth.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong style=\"font-size: inherit;\">4)<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\"> The <\/span><strong style=\"font-size: inherit;\">fastest land animal in the world<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">, a cheetah can reach <\/span><strong style=\"font-size: inherit;\">112km\/h<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\"> in just three seconds &#8211; that\u2019s faster than a sports car accelerates! And boy, can they hunt! First, they use their exceptional eyesight to scan their surroundings before quietly stalking their chosen prey. She nurses her youngsters in a lair hidden by tall vegetation, until they are <strong>16<\/strong> to <strong>24<\/strong> months old and able look after themselves.<\/p>\n<p><strong>10)<\/strong> Sadly, this beautiful animal is threatened by loss of habitat and prey, as well as conflict with humans.
