We live in a land of striking geography and extreme climates \u2013 that\u2019s why our natural world is full of surprises! We have surfing <strong>sea snails<\/strong>, <strong>penguins<\/strong> on beaches and a unique <strong>chameleon<\/strong> that gives birth to live young.<\/p>\n<p>South Africa is home to the <strong>Big Five<\/strong> (<strong>elephant<\/strong>, <strong>buffalo<\/strong>, <strong>lion<\/strong>, <strong>leopard<\/strong> and <strong>rhinoceros<\/strong>) and to big numbers! Within our borders are 22,000 plant species.
