Born in <strong>Brisbane, Australia<\/strong> in <strong>1909<\/strong>, she worked in the <strong>Zoology Department<\/strong> at the <strong>University of Sydney<\/strong> for almost <strong>40<\/strong> years. She even had a coral reef (Isobel Bennett Reef) and a sub-Antarctic lake (Bennett Lake) named after her.
