Of all the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.natgeokids.com\/nz\/discover\/history\/egypt\/tutankhamun-facts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span class=\"s2\">King Tut facts<\/span><\/a>, his sudden burial has always puzzled experts. If the results prove conclusively that there are voids behind the walls then, it could mean an excavation in the 3,000-year-old tomb!<\/p>\n<p>Some Egyptologists think the chambers could be hiding the remains of another ancient <span class=\"s2\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.natgeokids.com\/nz\/discover\/history\/egypt\/how-to-make-a-mummy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Egyptian mummy<\/a><\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Queen Nefertiti<\/strong> was one of the wives of Tutankhamun&#8217;s father, <strong>King<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Akhenaten<\/strong>. Although not Tutankhamun&#8217;s mother, Egyptologists think the boy king&#8217;s sudden death meant there wasn&#8217;t time to build him a tomb of his own.
