Scientists aren\u2019t sure how long pandas live in the wild, but in captivity they live to be around\u00a0<strong>30 years old<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>6.<\/strong>\u00a0Baby pandas are born pink and measure about\u00a0<strong>15cm<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; that&#8217;s about the size of a pencil! They are also born blind and only open their eyes six to eight weeks after birth.<\/p>\n<p><strong>7.<\/strong> It&#8217;s thought that these magnificent mammals are solitary animals, with males and females only coming together briefly to mate. Cubs stay with their mothers for 18 months before venturing off on their own!<\/p>\n<p><strong>9.<\/strong> Unlike most other bears, pandas do not hibernate. Though there&#8217;s still lots of work to be done, the species is no longer considered <strong>endangered<\/strong>.
