Check out the amazing winner of our shoe design competition

Clarks has teamed up with National Geographic to make an epic kids collection of cool shoes – inspired by some of the most amazing species on the planet.

Two high-top sneakers by Clarks: the left one has a blue and green plaid pattern, while the right features a black background with a yellow abstract dotted pattern. Both have white rubber soles and toe caps.

The Clarks x National Geographic range captures the dazzling colours and striking patterns of some of the world’s most eye-catching animals photographed by Joel Sartore for the National Geographic Photo Ark*!

The five vibrant canvas patterns are available in three different styles for all ages – and the upper printed canvas is made from 100% recycled plastic bottles. Wow!

The competition

In our May issue of National Geographic Kids, we ran a competition for one lucky winner to win a family sleepover at ZSL London Zoo, plus a pair of Clarks x National Geographic Shoes in any of the five fantastic animal prints.

The winner

Michael Savage, age 8 – “I was thinking of patterns in nature and I first thought of the pattern on a turtle’s shell. This made me think of hexagons and then I had the idea of a beehive.”

A sneaker inspired by a ladybug pattern, featuring a red upper with black polka dots, yellow accents, black laces, and a white textured sole—perfect for fans of playful Clarks designs.

A colorful Clarks sneaker features a blue bird with a red eye, surrounded by pink and purple flowers and green leaves. The shoe has yellow laces and a textured white sole.

Milo Garnsey
