How to make a watermelon smoothie!

A cutting board displays a whole watermelon, a glass, a lime, chocolate chips, utensils, and a blender with an orange lid—perfect essentials for preparing a refreshing watermelon smoothie.

One watermelon
One lime
One cup of ice
Chocolate chips
Knife
Fork
Blender
Glasses

Step 1

A person uses a fork to remove seeds from a slice of watermelon on a white cutting board, preparing the fruit—with seeds and bits of pulp gathered nearby—for a refreshing watermelon smoothie.

Get an adult to help you slice the watermelon into quarters, then scrape out the seeds. Chop it into squares and cut off the skin.

Step 2

A person in a red shirt is squeezing a lime wedge into a blender filled with ice cubes and fruit, preparing a refreshing watermelon smoothie against a light blue background.

Next, combine the ice and watermelon cubes, squeeze in the juice of a lime and then blend until it’s lovely and smooth.

Step 3

A person in a red shirt sprinkles chocolate chips on top of a glass filled with a red watermelon smoothie, next to a plate of more chocolate chips on a blue-rimmed plate.

Finally, pour the mixture into the glasses and top each one with a generous sprinkling of chocolate chips. Yummy!

A person in a red shirt holds a large glass of watermelon smoothie, its red, slushy texture topped with chocolate chips, set against a light blue background.

Tip top: put your own twist on our watermelon smoothie by adding an extra fruit of your choice – such as apple or strawberry!
