Young Vets Club was created by WVS, a charity founded by vets saving all sorts of animals around the world, from donkeys to dogs, elephants to giraffes!

A smiling member of the Young Vets' Club in veterinary scrubs and cap poses outdoors with a happy brown and white dog, both looking at the camera.

Young Vets Club is the membership for kids who don’t just love animals – they want to help them.

WVS – Worldwide Veterinary Service…

…AKA, the animal-helping dream team!

WVS helps animals in more than 83 countries around the world – in fact, they help one animal every 14 seconds! But it’s not just vets in white coats. It takes a huge team of different people, all with different jobs, to make that happen.

Would you love to spend your life helping animals? If any of these sound like you, Young Vets Club is the place to start.

Dream of doing operations and diagnosing illness to help animals get better?

A woman wearing gloves and a mask holds a small monkey whilst giving it an injection at an animal care facility—just one of the unforgettable experiences you could have with your Young Vets Club membership. Join now for the chance to WIN exclusive behind-the-scenes access!.

Our vets work all over the world, and no two days look the same. One day it might be an emergency surgery, the next, taking care of lots of street dogs. After a natural disaster, they might be the first on the scene helping injured animals. Some even work deep in places like the Amazon or India, where they might be the only vet for miles.

Dream of taking care of sick animals whilst learning all about medicine?

Vet nurses are a super important part of every clinic. WVS has a special Vet Nurse Taskforce – four nurses who travel around our centres worldwide, helping wherever they’re needed most. They are usually busy caring for injured animals, helping patients recover after sedation, preparing medicines, and even hand-feeding orphaned animals who can’t feed themselves.

Dream of whizzing through the African bush searching for an elephant?

A woman wearing sunglasses and a teal jacket examines an elephant’s tusk outdoors on a sunny day, with trees and a fence in the background—an inspiring scene from the Young Vet’s Club.

Our wildlife vets work in wild places like Majete Wildlife Reserve in Malawi, treating animals you’d never see in a normal vet clinic. From elephants and lions to pangolins and zebra – you never know who will need your help next!

Dream of making horses feel healthy and strong?

Two people from the Young Vet’s Club are caring for a brown horse outdoors; one holds the horse’s head while the other trims a hoof using tools. A stone building and trees are visible in the background.

Horses, donkeys, and mules work incredibly hard in many parts of the world – carrying goods, pulling carts, helping farmers. WVS treated 67,777 equines and large animals last year, keeping these hard-working animals comfortable and healthy.

Dream of taking care of animals every single day?

A tiny baby monkey wrapped in a colourful blanket is being bottle-fed by a person. The monkey has large, round eyes and is held gently in the person’s hands, receiving loving care as part of the Young Vet’s Club programme.

Behind every recovering animal is someone making sure they’re fed, clean, comfortable, and getting their medicine on time. Across all of WVS’s work last year, over 158,000 animals were treated directly – and animal caregivers are essential to making sure every single one gets the day-to-day care they need to heal.
